This is Avianne's first solo exhibition at IGFA and IGFA's first solo exhibition ever. Avianne has been dreaming of showing us the world through her eyes. "Earthbound" is a celebration of Creation and the Creator. Avianne's favorite theme is nature. Her work with conservation and advocating for animals is dear to her heart. 20% of all sales proceeds will be donated to the wildlife conservation efforts supported by Avianne. What does it mean to be earthbound? Rediscover the beauty of life through the eyes of an artist who sees the world as magical.

"With "Winre Wonderland" we celebrate one of the most incredible times of the year to be in Idaho - lazy holidays, colorful sweaters, Halloween fun, hot chocolate, snug blankets, snowmen, christmas trees, Hanukkah, family, festivities, holiday music, and more. We leave the interpretation open to your imagination. What does Winter in Idaho mean to you? Subjects are all welcome as long as they are family friendly.

Complete the entry form and upload JPG images of up to 5 artworks relevant to the theme of the exhibition to apply for participation in this exhibition only. All exhibitions are juried and acceptance is not guaranteed - see the section below on “Acceptance and Content Criteria” as well as “Overall Presentation and Installation Criteria”.

Please adhere to all deadlines and logistics as set forth by Avianne International, LLC.

All work must be original: Artists must be 18 or older to participate and the work must be the original work of the artist.
All work must be available for sale in USA Dollar amounts.
All accepted work must remain in the exhibition for the duration of the exhibition even when sold.
All artwork may be used for promotional purposes while protecting the copyright of the artist(s) involved as far as it depends on Avianne International, LLC.

General Logistics

Deadline to enter, judging of art, accepted work drop-off / delivery dates: see the Call for Entry information posted with each exhibition on the website.
All entry is online. Entries are not accepted without online form and correct payment received.
Work must be dropped off / picked up by artist or delivered / picked-up by designated third party - proof for work received will be emailed or a physical copy may be handed to the artist.
Proof of receiving must be shown to pick up work after the exhibition in case the work is not sold.
Location for drop off / delivery and pick up of sold and unsold work: 1883 N Wildwood Street, Suite # M, Boise, ID 83713, USA - PLEASE DO NOT ship to this address without prior arrangements being made directly with Avianne. Unclaimed work will be stored at a fee / sold to another collector and / or given back to the artist.

Drop off / Pick-up / Delivery logistics: Park in front of the building - follow temporary signs to where Avianne’s crew will receive your work.
Do not leave without proof of delivery. Once your work is received, please exit the building.

Fees and Commission

Entry fees are utilized to cover the costs incurred by an art exhibition: administrative, hosting, judging, curating and marketing and are non-refundable.

AlL entries: $35 - for entering up to 5 art works.
In case of sales: the gallery will charge and process sales tax to the buyer and retain a 30% commission.
IGFA donates 10 percent of all gallery profits to non-profit wildlife conservation organizations in the USA and humanitarian rescue efforts and missions in South Africa. See our website(s) for more details.

Acceptance and Content Criteria

Exhibition may be limited in scope - see Call For Entry to know if the exhibit is international / national / online / Idaho-based or such.
All exhibitions are juried. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
All work entered must be for sale in USA Dollar amounts. If you are accepted into the exhibition but are unsure about pricing, we can help you determine an appropriate price for your work. Please see section “Shipping, Customs, Sales and Payment Logistics” for more details about selling artwork.
You can enter up to 5 artworks into each separate exhibition. Please take care not to have work overlap with other shows to guarantee your placement once you are accepted. Work that does not appear to be the same at time of receiving it as work in the digital submission images may be cut from the show.
All work must meet the standards of media, size, installation, exhibition and content as it pertains to the specific exhibition at hand. See section “Overall Presentation and Installation Criteria” and “Content Criteria” for more information of this.
The gallery owner, judges and / or curator involved reserve the right to deny an art work entry into an exhibition for any practical or contextual reason.
Exhibition themes are open for interpretation. We encourage intelligent, conceptual, visual, thematic, subjective and art historical interpretations.
The art gallery utilized by IGFA for this exhibition is family friendly - work that contains vulgarity, explicit nudity, physically dangerous or toxic parts or any extreme content deemed inappropriate by judges will not be accepted.
Avianne International LLC reserves the right to refuse doing business with anyone. Should our gallery, patrons, or artists not be respected by anyone, we reserve the right to refuse accepting artwork and / or to reject artwork from any exhibition, effective immediately.
Artists are responsible for insuring, transporting and delivering all artwork to the gallery. We recommend that you do not ship any work that is very fragile or at risk of being damaged by extreme temperatures or third party shipping and handling.

Overall Presentation and Installation Criteria

The following 2D and 3D media are accepted into this exhibition:

Fine Art Photography / Digital Fine Art (no commercial / appropriated work)

All work must be the original work of the artist who enters the work. No third party entries or any types of replicas will be accepted.
art, designs, logos or stock images in photoshop is not considered original art).
We cannot generally accept artwork that requires electricity, water, chemicals, mechanics or any alternative method of installation or presentation we mention in this entry form. If your work requires special installation of any kind or involve any type of access to water or electricity, contact us before entering.
No work can weigh more than 40 lbs / 20 kg (including shipping / packaging weight) and cannot contain any sharp edges, overly fragile elements, dangerous chemicals, unsafe protrusions or unsafe free moving parts.

2D Work or 3D Wall Mountable Work

All 2D or 3D wall mountable work must not exceed 36 in / 91 cm in any direction.
Work on stretched canvas or board must be finished off professionally on gallery wrapped canvas or block mounted board with neatly painted and tacked edges.
Gallery wrapped canvas edges must be finished off - paint the sides a flat color or allow the painting to wrap around the sides.
Unframed work must be sealed to avoid unforeseen damage.
Work may be framed professionally (no amateur framing, no glass if shipped). Frames must appropriately suit the art work - a general rule is to keep frames simple - we recommend natural, stained or black wood frames.
Drawings, watercolors, photography and other fragile 2D artwork must be framed and matted appropriately and professionally.
Please do not submit badly framed or matted work or canvas wrapped art that is not properly finished off or sealed - if it looks flimsy, cheap, unprofessional, chipped, dirty, smudged, scratched, messy etc. we cannot represent it.
Frames must be sturdy, straight and properly attached to the art work. The back need not be closed, but must be presented in a way that makes the art hangable.
Work must be wired with D-hooks and wired in the back - no sawtooth hangers or other methods - we cannot physically hang work without it being properly wired and will reject work from the exhibition if not wired correctly with correct hooks.

3D Free-standing Sculptures / Other Types of Work

All freestanding sculptural work must not exceed 48 in / 122 cm in any direction.
Work must be able to be carried through standard doors and up a single staircase.
Work must be movable without easily falling apart, presenting a danger to the person moving it or getting damaged or it damaging the display space.
Please do not include stands unless we request it or they are an integral part of the art work or fundamentally assist the work in stability. Stands cannot be too cumbersome to deal with.
We cannot optimally secure work to the ceiling, wall or floor - the work must be able to be stable without requiring extra forms of propping it up.
If your work, intended for physical display or enactment does not fall into any of the above mentioned categories for 2D or 3D work - please contact us prior to entering to determine viability of installation.

Shipping, Customs, Sales, Commission and Payment Logistics

All sales are conducted in USA Dollar Amounts - arts work must be put up for sale in USA Dollar amounts.
Artists can be paid within 3 weeks of payments received and verified.
All sales are final. We do not issue refunds and cannot accommodate returns.
A local sales tax from the business in Boise is added to the price and a 30% sales commission is retained - the buyer pays the sales tax and the artist receives the amount minus 30% as calculated separately from the sales tax.
International artists can be paid via PayPal.
USA-based artists can be paid via PayPal or check.
If sold - buyer must provide proof of purchase to pick up work directly once the exhibition is over.
The artist is responsible for any and all fees and taxes outside of our direct context. We (Avianne international, LLC and any and all of our buyers, artists, affiliates or third parties) are not responsible for international tax-laws, individual country or regional tax-laws. and subsequent taxes that must be paid or withheld by any organizations, authorities or individuals involved - the artist involved my make sure to pay any fees or taxes accordingly.
Payments to artists will be made within 3 weeks once payments from a buyer are processed and verified. IGFA will verify payment methods and amounts with the artist if a sale occurs and can only pay the artist once this is verified.
Artists are responsible for any and all of the following if it applies:
Packing / shipping / transportation of all art to the gallery safely and securely.
Packing / shipping / transportation of all art work to the buyer from the gallery - IGFA can assist you with packing, but the client must pay you or must pay us or you must pay us for shipping / transportation of art work if required.
Any costs incurred by customs or sales, or any other costs that are unforeseen to Avianne International.
In cases where shipping costs and customs requirements apply, artists are responsible for all logistics and costs incurred - if your work is selected for the exhibition and this pertains to you, we will contact you via your email address included in this entry form. We want your work to get to us as affordably and safely as possible and safely return it to you as securely and affordably as possible in case of no sale.
Sold work will be released to its rightful owner at the time of pick-up specified in this document or shipped once payment is received and verified in an appropriate time-frame.
Avianne International is not responsible for installation of art work and if any such installation is needed, the buyer will have to pay a third party for this service.
In cases of dispute, Avianne International is not liable and will refer the dispute to a third party for settlement.
Avianne International is not legally liable for any costs incurred by any of the above.

Juried Exhibition Criteria*

Juried art exhibitions are important in the development of any artistic career, since not all work is accepted into juried exhibitions.
IGFA conducts a jury process to select quality and high caliber art.
Typically art work is screened / judged according to the following criteria:
Meeting the content, presentation and installation criteria mentioned in this application form and required for each individual exhibition (No art will be accepted without first meeting this criteria, however brilliant it may be).
Conceptual and creative interpretation of subject matter and exhibition theme (the name of the exhibition carries the essence of the exhibition theme - see our exhibition description on the website for more details).
Excellence in stylistic execution using the media (artistic skill level and individual, visual form language being displayed).
Aesthetic criteria are considered: use of color, line, perspective, composition, chiaroscuro, volume, space etc.
The specific interpretations and expertise of each judge for each exhibition and award offered. Each judge has a unique perspective and IGFA respects that.

General Online Exhibition, Image and Sales Logistics

Artists can enter any 2D or 3D art - all entries must be family-friendly (no nudity, propaganda content or inappropriate themes or language) and must be in a format that could be shipped to a buyer with relative ease.
Artists are responsible for all costs and logistics, insurance of art work, shipping and fulfillment from their location. If you have questions about this, please reach out to Avianne. A check-list will be sent to the artist should a sale occur.
Artists must respond promptly and be able to communicate via e-mail regarding sales and logistics - if not, the artist will not be allowed to participate in future events or exhibitions at IGFA - we cannot conduct business without prompt communication.
Up to 3 images per artist will be posted in our virtual art store for sale (artists is responsible for fulfillment in case an original artwork sells and will sign a separate contract with Avianne for this). Images will not be posted in our online store unless the juried artist signs this contract.
Deadline to enter, event dates, acceptance, etc. - see the “Call for Entry” information posted with each exhibition on the website.
All entry is online, regardless of type of exhibition or event. Entries are not accepted without online form and correct payment, with clear images received.
Images of work must be provided in JPG or PNG format. Files may not exceed 1MB in size, but must show work accurately - images must be in focus, no filters, no glare, no reflections, not obscured or at strange angles. Do not send images that include the environment for 2D artwork - only the actual artwork without any background. 3D examples of sculpture must be photographed against a neutral background.
Unusable images may result in rejection from the exhibition.
Proof of initial acceptance will be given once an entry is received, processed and approved.
Items must be dropped off / picked up / or delivered / removed / picked-up by seller or designated third party as appropriate before and after event is over.

Specific Sales Procedures and Logistics

Avianne will provide clear instructions for shipping and packing logistics if a sale occurs - please follow all instructions promptly and exactly. Avianne is not responsible for an artist bothing this process and a buyer withdrawing from a sale as a result.
Business Location from which the exhibition is administered: 1883 N Wildwood Street, Suite # M, Boise, ID 83713, USA. Please note that we do not currently have the staff to receive shipped items at the gallery unless pre-arranged.
PLEASE DO NOT send any artwork for online exhibitions to the physical location unless specifically instructed to do so for pick-up or redistribution to a buyer - all sales must be conducted as per Aviannes checklist instructions, sent to the artist, once a sale occurs - at that time Avianne will instruct the artist where and how to ship the work directly to the client.
PLEASE DO NOT deviate from instructions provided by Avianne regarding sales - there are sales taxes, gallery commissions and specific, legal (sometimes international and customs) considerations that must be followed for the protection of the artist, the buyer and IGFA
Unclaimed items will be stored at a fee / recycled / sold and / or given back to the artist, depending on the specific context.
Unsolicited work sent to us will be stored at a fee / sold to another collector and / or shipped back to the artist at the artist’s cost.
We will donate work to charity or sell it and retain the full sales amount to recover logistical cost if work is abandoned at our location.

Sellers Requirements, Event Specifics and Allocations

Sellers must have access to infrastructure (wherever they are located) to enable and facilitate the shipping of artwork from the artist to the buyer directly. PLEASE DO NOT enter this exhibition if you are not physically or logistically capable of facilitating sales.
Seller must have a sales permit if required by law in their region and must comply with International, country-specific, USA and Idaho tax laws however applicable.
Seller must be self-insured and must directly represent themselves during a transaction of any kind.

Fees and Commission

Juried Exhibition Criteria

IGFA conducts a jury process to select quality and high caliber fine art and any other items.

"Bountiful" is a celebration of everything we still have to be grateful for. What do you love about Fall? If it is not Fall (or autumn) where you are in the world, what makes you want to get up every morning and what season do you enjoy most? In the USA we are getting ready for thanksgiving. This exhibition is an opportunity for reflection and remembering what matters most. Create some art about everything and everyone that is important to you. Tell us who you are, what makes you wake up in the morning and why you want to be an artist. We sell traditional as well as contemporary art that is engaging, family friendly, positive, unique and enjoyable.

Fees and Commission

In case of sales: the gallery will charge and process sales tax to the buyer and retain a 30% commission.

2D Work or 3D Wall Mountable Work

All 2D or 3D wall mountable work must not exceed 36 in / 91 cm in any direction.
Work on stretched canvas or board must be finished off professionally on gallery wrapped canvas or block mounted board with neatly painted and tacked edges.
Gallery wrapped canvas edges must be finished off - paint the sides a flat color or allow the painting to wrap around the sides.
Unframed work must be sealed to avoid unforeseen damage.
Work may be framed professionally (no amateur framing, no glass if shipped). Frames must appropriately suit the art work - a general rule is to keep frames simple - we recommend natural, stained or black wood frames.
Drawings, watercolors, photography and other fragile 2D artwork must be framed and matted appropriately and professionally.
Please do not submit badly framed or matted work or canvas wrapped art that is not properly finished off or sealed - if it looks flimsy, cheap, unprofessional, chipped, dirty, smudged, scratched, messy etc. we cannot represent it.
Frames must be sturdy, straight and properly attached to the art work. The back need not be closed, but must be presented in a way that makes the art hangable.
Work must be wired with D-hooks and wired in the back - no sawtooth hangers or other methods - we cannot physically hang work without it being properly wired and will reject work from the exhibition if not wired correctly with correct hooks.

3D Free-standing Sculptures / Other Types of Work

All freestanding sculptural work must not exceed 48 in / 122 cm in any direction.
Work must be able to be carried through standard doors and up a single staircase.
Work must be movable without easily falling apart, presenting a danger to the person moving it or getting damaged or it damaging the display space.
Please do not include stands unless we request it or they are an integral part of the art work or fundamentally assist the work in stability. Stands cannot be too cumbersome to deal with.
We cannot optimally secure work to the ceiling, wall or floor - the work must be able to be stable without requiring extra forms of propping it up.
If your work, intended for physical display or enactment does not fall into any of the above mentioned categories for 2D or 3D work - please contact us prior to entering to determine viability of installation.

Shipping, Customs, Sales, Commission and Payment Logistics

All sales are conducted in USA Dollar Amounts - arts work must be put up for sale in USA Dollar amounts.
Artists can be paid within 3 weeks of payments received and verified.
All sales are final. We do not issue refunds and cannot accommodate returns.
A local sales tax from the business in Boise is added to the price and a 30% sales commission is retained - the buyer pays the sales tax and the artist receives the amount minus 30% as calculated separately from the sales tax.
International artists can be paid via PayPal.
USA-based artists can be paid via PayPal or check.
If sold - buyer must provide proof of purchase to pick up work directly once the exhibition is over.
The artist is responsible for any and all fees and taxes outside of our direct context. We (Avianne international, LLC and any and all of our buyers, artists, affiliates or third parties) are not responsible for international tax-laws, individual country or regional tax-laws. and subsequent taxes that must be paid or withheld by any organizations, authorities or individuals involved - the artist involved my make sure to pay any fees or taxes accordingly.
Payments to artists will be made within 3 weeks once payments from a buyer are processed and verified. IGFA will verify payment methods and amounts with the artist if a sale occurs and can only pay the artist once this is verified.
Artists are responsible for any and all of the following if it applies:
Packing / shipping / transportation of all art to the gallery safely and securely.
Packing / shipping / transportation of all art work to the buyer from the gallery - IGFA can assist you with packing, but the client must pay you or must pay us or you must pay us for shipping / transportation of art work if required.
Any costs incurred by customs or sales, or any other costs that are unforeseen to Avianne International.
In cases where shipping costs and customs requirements apply, artists are responsible for all logistics and costs incurred - if your work is selected for the exhibition and this pertains to you, we will contact you via your email address included in this entry form. We want your work to get to us as affordably and safely as possible and safely return it to you as securely and affordably as possible in case of no sale.
Sold work will be released to its rightful owner at the time of pick-up specified in this document or shipped once payment is received and verified in an appropriate time-frame.
Avianne International is not responsible for installation of art work and if any such installation is needed, the buyer will have to pay a third party for this service.
In cases of dispute, Avianne International is not liable and will refer the dispute to a third party for settlement.

Seller receives table space for displaying items. Seller must have a sales permit and must comply with USA and Idaho tax laws.
Seller must be self-insured.
Seller must be present at the event or have a designated third party present at event at all times.
Seller is responsible for safety and liability of their own items and sales space.
Seller is responsible for all their own sales.
IGFA (Avianne) is responsible for selling all fine art displayed in gallery (separate from the event).
IGFA (Avianne) is not responsible for selling items, packing or shipping items, receiving shipped items or dealing with any logistics that pertain to sales, logistics or customs with regards to any items or sales.

Once annually, IGFA hosts a regional awards exhibition with a professional juror. This is the perfect exhibition to enter for anyone in Idaho, or the Western United States, who wants to create art with a message or a theme that shows off their best work. We are leaving the interpretation up to the artist - you have a voice, use it. What makes you want to create? What subject inspires you?

“Visual Voices” is open for a variety of interpretations by the artist: contemporary, traditional, out of the box, we love it all and we want to show Boise what you are capable of.

All work must be original: Artists must be 18 or older to participate and the work must be the original work of the artist.
All work must be available for sale in USA Dollar amounts.
All accepted work must remain in the exhibition for the duration of the exhibition even when sold.
All artwork may be used for promotional purposes while protecting the copyright of the artist(s) involved as far as it depends on Avianne International, LLC.

General Logistics

Fees and Commission

Entry fees are utilized to cover the costs incurred by an art exhibition: administrative, hosting, judging, curating and marketing and are non-refundable.

AlL entries: $35 - for entering up to 5 art works.
In case of sales: the gallery will charge and process sales tax to the buyer and retain a 30% commission.
IGFA donates 10 percent of all gallery profits to non-profit wildlife conservation organizations in the USA and humanitarian rescue efforts and missions in South Africa. See our website(s) for more details.

Acceptance and Content Criteria

Exhibition may be limited in scope - see Call For Entry to know if the exhibit is international / national / online / Idaho-based or such.
All exhibitions are juried. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
All work entered must be for sale in USA Dollar amounts. If you are accepted into the exhibition but are unsure about pricing, we can help you determine an appropriate price for your work. Please see section “Shipping, Customs, Sales and Payment Logistics” for more details about selling artwork.
You can enter up to 5 artworks into each separate exhibition. Please take care not to have work overlap with other shows to guarantee your placement once you are accepted. Work that does not appear to be the same at time of receiving it as work in the digital submission images may be cut from the show.
All work must meet the standards of media, size, installation, exhibition and content as it pertains to the specific exhibition at hand. See section “Overall Presentation and Installation Criteria” and “Content Criteria” for more information of this.
The gallery owner, judges and / or curator involved reserve the right to deny an art work entry into an exhibition for any practical or contextual reason.
Exhibition themes are open for interpretation. We encourage intelligent, conceptual, visual, thematic, subjective and art historical interpretations.
The art gallery utilized by IGFA for this exhibition is family friendly - work that contains vulgarity, explicit nudity, physically dangerous or toxic parts or any extreme content deemed inappropriate by judges will not be accepted.
Avianne International LLC reserves the right to refuse doing business with anyone. Should our gallery, patrons, or artists not be respected by anyone, we reserve the right to refuse accepting artwork and / or to reject artwork from any exhibition, effective immediately.
Artists are responsible for insuring, transporting and delivering all artwork to the gallery. We recommend that you do not ship any work that is very fragile or at risk of being damaged by extreme temperatures or third party shipping and handling.

Overall Presentation and Installation Criteria

All work must be the original work of the artist who enters the work. No third party entries or any types of replicas will be accepted.

We cannot generally accept artwork that requires electricity, water, chemicals, mechanics or any alternative method of installation or presentation we mention in this entry form. If your work requires special installation of any kind or involve any type of access to water or electricity, contact us before entering.
No work can weigh more than 40 lbs / 20 kg (including shipping / packaging weight) and cannot contain any sharp edges, overly fragile elements, dangerous chemicals, unsafe protrusions or unsafe free moving parts.

2D Work or 3D Wall Mountable Work

All 2D or 3D wall mountable work must not exceed 36 in / 91 cm in any direction.
Work on stretched canvas or board must be finished off professionally on gallery wrapped canvas or block mounted board with neatly painted and tacked edges.
Gallery wrapped canvas edges must be finished off - paint the sides a flat color or allow the painting to wrap around the sides.
Unframed work must be sealed to avoid unforeseen damage.
Work may be framed professionally (no amateur framing, no glass if shipped). Frames must appropriately suit the art work - a general rule is to keep frames simple - we recommend natural, stained or black wood frames.
Drawings, watercolors, photography and other fragile 2D artwork must be framed and matted appropriately and professionally.
Please do not submit badly framed or matted work or canvas wrapped art that is not properly finished off or sealed - if it looks flimsy, cheap, unprofessional, chipped, dirty, smudged, scratched, messy etc. we cannot represent it.
Frames must be sturdy, straight and properly attached to the art work. The back need not be closed, but must be presented in a way that makes the art hangable.
Work must be wired with D-hooks and wired in the back - no sawtooth hangers or other methods - we cannot physically hang work without it being properly wired and will reject work from the exhibition if not wired correctly with correct hooks.

3D Free-standing Sculptures / Other Types of Work

All freestanding sculptural work must not exceed 48 in / 122 cm in any direction.
Work must be able to be carried through standard doors and up a single staircase.
Work must be movable without easily falling apart, presenting a danger to the person moving it or getting damaged or it damaging the display space.
Please do not include stands unless we request it or they are an integral part of the art work or fundamentally assist the work in stability. Stands cannot be too cumbersome to deal with.
We cannot optimally secure work to the ceiling, wall or floor - the work must be able to be stable without requiring extra forms of propping it up.
If your work, intended for physical display or enactment does not fall into any of the above mentioned categories for 2D or 3D work - please contact us prior to entering to determine viability of installation.

Shipping, Customs, Sales, Commission and Payment Logistics

All sales are conducted in USA Dollar Amounts - arts work must be put up for sale in USA Dollar amounts.
Artists can be paid within 3 weeks of payments received and verified.
All sales are final. We do not issue refunds and cannot accommodate returns.
A local sales tax from the business in Boise is added to the price and a 30% sales commission is retained - the buyer pays the sales tax and the artist receives the amount minus 30% as calculated separately from the sales tax.
International artists can be paid via PayPal.
USA-based artists can be paid via PayPal or check.
If sold - buyer must provide proof of purchase to pick up work directly once the exhibition is over.
The artist is responsible for any and all fees and taxes outside of our direct context. We (Avianne international, LLC and any and all of our buyers, artists, affiliates or third parties) are not responsible for international tax-laws, individual country or regional tax-laws. and subsequent taxes that must be paid or withheld by any organizations, authorities or individuals involved - the artist involved my make sure to pay any fees or taxes accordingly.
Payments to artists will be made within 3 weeks once payments from a buyer are processed and verified. IGFA will verify payment methods and amounts with the artist if a sale occurs and can only pay the artist once this is verified.
Artists are responsible for any and all of the following if it applies:
Packing / shipping / transportation of all art to the gallery safely and securely.
Packing / shipping / transportation of all art work to the buyer from the gallery - IGFA can assist you with packing, but the client must pay you or must pay us or you must pay us for shipping / transportation of art work if required.
Any costs incurred by customs or sales, or any other costs that are unforeseen to Avianne International.
In cases where shipping costs and customs requirements apply, artists are responsible for all logistics and costs incurred - if your work is selected for the exhibition and this pertains to you, we will contact you via your email address included in this entry form. We want your work to get to us as affordably and safely as possible and safely return it to you as securely and affordably as possible in case of no sale.
Sold work will be released to its rightful owner at the time of pick-up specified in this document or shipped once payment is received and verified in an appropriate time-frame.
Avianne International is not responsible for installation of art work and if any such installation is needed, the buyer will have to pay a third party for this service.
In cases of dispute, Avianne International is not liable and will refer the dispute to a third party for settlement.
Avianne International is not legally liable for any costs incurred by any of the above.

Juried Exhibition Criteria*

Juried art exhibitions are important in the development of any artistic career, since not all work is accepted into juried exhibitions.
IGFA conducts a jury process to select quality and high caliber art.
Typically art work is screened / judged according to the following criteria:
Meeting the content, presentation and installation criteria mentioned in this application form and required for each individual exhibition (No art will be accepted without first meeting this criteria, however brilliant it may be).
Conceptual and creative interpretation of subject matter and exhibition theme (the name of the exhibition carries the essence of the exhibition theme - see our exhibition description on the website for more details).
Excellence in stylistic execution using the media (artistic skill level and individual, visual form language being displayed).
Aesthetic criteria are considered: use of color, line, perspective, composition, chiaroscuro, volume, space etc.
The specific interpretations and expertise of each judge for each exhibition and award offered. Each judge has a unique perspective and IGFA respects that.

A victory for Team Human. We made it another year. All artists internationally are welcome to enter. IGFA is located in Boise, Idaho. We provide artists with representation in our juried, local and national shows, as well as international exhibits, to showcase original fine art at our physical location in Idaho, USA. IGFA loves artists. We want to celebrate the beauty and wonder of art making and share it with everyone we can reach anywhere in the world.

“This is Us” celebrates the human spirit, triumphing over hardship. We know what it took for us to get here and we are so happy you made it this far with us. What does it mean to you to be a human in a world that is unpredictable and sometimes difficult to navigate? Do you think you have a wonderful story to share with us? Packing / shipping / transportation of all art to the gallery safely and securely.

Any costs incurred by customs or sales, or any other costs that are unforeseen to Avianne International.
In cases where shipping costs and customs requirements apply, artists are responsible for all logistics and costs incurred - if your work is selected for the exhibition and this pertains to you, we will contact you via your email address included in this entry form. We want your work to get to us as affordably and safely as possible and safely return it to you as securely and affordably as possible in case of no sale.
Sold work will be released to its rightful owner at the time of pick-up specified in this document or shipped once payment is received and verified in an appropriate time-frame.

Juried Exhibition Criteria*

Juried art exhibitions are important in the development of any artistic career, since not all work is accepted into juried exhibitions.
IGFA conducts a jury process to select quality and high caliber art.
Typically art work is screened / judged according to the following criteria:
Meeting the content, presentation and installation criteria mentioned in this application form and required for each individual exhibition (No art will be accepted without first meeting this criteria, however brilliant it may be).
Conceptual and creative interpretation of subject matter and exhibition theme (the name of the exhibition carries the essence of the exhibition theme - see our exhibition description on the website for more details).
Excellence in stylistic execution using the media (artistic skill level and individual, visual form language being displayed).
Aesthetic criteria are considered: use of color, line, perspective, composition, chiaroscuro, volume, space etc.
The specific interpretations and expertise of each judge for each exhibition and award offered. Each judge has a unique perspective and IGFA respects that.

This exhibition is open for entry to all artists internationally. IGFA is a boutique style gallery, located in Boise, Idaho. We provide artists with representation in our juried, local and nation shows, as well as international exhibits, to showcase original fine art at our physical location in Idaho, USA. IGFA loves artists. We want to celebrate the beauty and wonder of art making and share it with everyone we can reach anywhere in the world.

“Spring Song” is our first annual spring celebration exhibition and also our first official international art exhibition. Spring Song is open for your artistic interpretation. We encourage creativity and placing your own imaginative spin in Spring. Where are you when it is Spring where you are? How do you engage with nature in Spring? Maybe you live on a mountain or down by the ocean. We want to know how Spring is your muse and your song. All styles and interpretations are welcome as long as it adheres to our submission criteria. We sell traditional as well as contemporary art that is engaging, family friendly, positive, unique and enjoyable.

2D Work or 3D Wall Mountable Work

All 2D or 3D wall mountable work must not exceed 36 in / 91 cm in any direction.
Work on stretched canvas or board must be finished off professionally on gallery wrapped canvas or block mounted board with neatly painted and tacked edges.
Gallery wrapped canvas edges must be finished off - paint the sides a flat color or allow the painting to wrap around the sides.
Unframed work must be sealed to avoid unforeseen damage.
Work may be framed professionally (no amateur framing, no glass if shipped). Frames must appropriately suit the art work - a general rule is to keep frames simple - we recommend natural, stained or black wood frames.
Drawings, watercolors, photography and other fragile 2D art work must be framed and matted appropriately and professionally.
Please do not submit badly framed or matted work or canvas wrapped art that is not properly finished off or sealed - if it looks flimsy, cheap, unprofessional, chipped, dirty, smudged, scratched, messy etc. we cannot represent it.
Frames must be sturdy, straight and properly attached to the art work. The back need not be closed, but must be presented in a way that makes the art hangable.
Work must be wired with D-hooks and wired in the back - no sawtooth hangers or other methods - we cannot physically hang work without it being properly wired and will reject work from the exhibition if not wired correctly with correct hooks.

3D Free-standing Sculptures / Other Types of Work

All freestanding sculptural work must not exceed 48 in / 122 cm in any direction.
Work must be able to be carried through standard doors and up a single staircase.
Work must be movable without easily falling apart, presenting a danger to the person moving it or getting damaged or it damaging the display space.
Please do not include stands unless we request it or they are an integral part of the art work or fundamentally assist the work in stability. Stands cannot be too cumbersome to deal with.
We cannot optimally secure work to the ceiling, wall or floor - the work must be able to be stable without requiring extra forms of propping it up.
If your work, intended for physical display or enactment does not fall into any of the above mentioned categories for 2D or 3D work - please contact us prior to entering to determine viability of installation.

Shipping, Customs, Sales, Commission and Payment Logistics

All sales are conducted in USA Dollar Amounts - arts work must be put up for sale in USA Dollar amounts.

3D Free-standing Sculptures / Other Types of Work

All freestanding sculptural work must not exceed 48 in / 122 cm in any direction.
Work must be able to be carried through standard doors and up a single staircase.
Work must be movable without easily falling apart, presenting a danger to the person moving it or getting damaged or it damaging the display space.
Please do not include stands unless we request it or they are an integral part of the art work or fundamentally assist the work in stability. Stands cannot be too cumbersome to deal with.
We cannot optimally secure work to the ceiling, wall or floor - the work must be able to be stable without requiring extra forms of propping it up.
If your work, intended for physical display or enactment does not fall into any of the above mentioned categories for 2D or 3D work - please contact us prior to entering to determine viability of installation.

Shipping, Customs, Sales, Commission and Payment Logistics

All sales are conducted in USA Dollar Amounts - arts work must be put up for sale in USA Dollar amounts.
Artists can be paid within 3 weeks of payments received and verified.
All sales are final. We do not issue refunds and cannot accommodate returns.
A local sales tax from the business in Boise is added to the price and a 30% sales commission is retained - the buyer pays the sales tax and the artist receives the amount minus 30% as calculated separately from the sales tax.
International artists can be paid via PayPal.
USA-based artists can be paid via PayPal or check.
If sold - buyer must provide proof of purchase to pick up work directly once the exhibition is over.
The artist is responsible for any and all fees and taxes outside of our direct context. We (Avianne international, LLC and any and all of our buyers, artists, affiliates or third parties) are not responsible for international tax-laws, individual country or regional tax-laws. and subsequent taxes that must be paid or withheld by any organizations, authorities or individuals involved - the artist involved my make sure to pay any fees or taxes accordingly.
Payments to artists will be made within 3 weeks once payments from a buyer are processed and verified. IGFA will verify payment methods and amounts with the artist if a sale occurs and can only pay the artist once this is verified.
Artists are responsible for any and all of the following if it applies:
Packing / shipping / transportation of all art to the gallery safely and securely.
Packing / shipping / transportation of all art work to the buyer from the gallery - IGFA can assist you with packing, but the client must pay you or must pay us or you must pay us for shipping / transportation of art work if required.
Any costs incurred by customs or sales, or any other costs that are unforeseen to Avianne International.
In cases where shipping costs and customs requirements apply, artists are responsible for all logistics and costs incurred - if your work is selected for the exhibition and this pertains to you, we will contact you via your email address included in this entry form. We want your work to get to us as affordably and safely as possible and safely return it to you as securely and affordably as possible in case of no sale.
Sold work will be released to its rightful owner at the time of pick-up specified in this document or shipped once payment is received and verified in an appropriate time-frame.
Avianne International is not responsible for installation of art work and if any such installation is needed, the buyer will have to pay a third party for this service.
In cases of dispute, Avianne International is not liable and will refer the dispute to a third party for settlement.

Juried Exhibition Criteria*

Juried art exhibitions are important in the development of any artistic career, since not all work is accepted into juried exhibitions.
IGFA conducts a jury process to select quality and high caliber art.
Typically art work is screened / judged according to the following criteria:
Meeting the content, presentation and installation criteria mentioned in this application form and required for each individual exhibition (No art will be accepted without first meeting this criteria, however brilliant it may be).
Conceptual and creative interpretation of subject matter and exhibition theme (the name of the exhibition carries the essence of the exhibition theme - see our exhibition description on the website for more details).
Excellence in stylistic execution using the media (artistic skill level and individual, visual form language being displayed).
Aesthetic criteria are considered: use of color, line, perspective, composition, chiaroscuro, volume, space etc.
The specific interpretations and expertise of each judge for each exhibition and award offered. Each judge has a unique perspective and IGFA respects that.

We all had to relearn how to live in a pandemic and (hopefully soon) post-pandemic world.

This exhibition is open for entry to all American based artists as we are seeking to provide American artists with a fun, high caliber, yet inclusive way to represent their art in a physical boutique style fine art gallery, focused on reaching and engaging art collectors and buyers from our local community and beyond.

“American Beauty” is open for your artistic interpretation. What does America mean to you? What inspires you about being an artist who lives and work in the USA? We are specifically looking for work that has an American theme. A fall or winter theme would be great too. We sell traditional as well as contemporary art that is engaging, family friendly, positive, unique and enjoyable. Abstract, representational American landscapes, holiday themed still lives and figurative work would all be great.

Fees and Commission

Entry fees are utilized to cover the costs incurred by an art exhibition: administrative, hosting, judging, curating and marketing and are non-refundable.

AlL entries: $35 - for entering up to 5 art works.
In case of sales: the gallery will charge and process sales tax to the buyer and retain a 30% commission.
IGFA donates 10 percent of all gallery profits to non-profit wildlife conservation organizations in the USA and humanitarian rescue efforts and missions in South Africa. See our website(s) for more details.

Acceptance and Content Criteria

Exhibition may be limited in scope - see Call For Entry to know if the exhibit is international / national / online / Idaho-based or such.
All exhibitions are juried. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
All work entered must be for sale in USA Dollar amounts. If you are accepted into the exhibition but are unsure about pricing, we can help you determine an appropriate price for your work. Please see section “Shipping, Customs, Sales and Payment Logistics” for more details about selling artwork.
You can enter up to 5 artworks into each separate exhibition. Please take care not to have work overlap with other shows to guarantee your placement once you are accepted. Work that does not appear to be the same at time of receiving it as work in the digital submission images may be cut from the show.
All work must meet the standards of media, size, installation, exhibition and content as it pertains to the specific exhibition at hand. See section “Overall Presentation and Installation Criteria” and “Content Criteria” for more information of this.
The gallery owner, judges and / or curator involved reserve the right to deny an art work entry into an exhibition for any practical or contextual reason.
Exhibition themes are open for interpretation. We encourage intelligent, conceptual, visual, thematic, subjective and art historical interpretations.
The art gallery utilized by IGFA for this exhibition is family friendly - work that contains vulgarity, explicit nudity, physically dangerous or toxic parts or any extreme content deemed inappropriate by judges will not be accepted.
Avianne International LLC reserves the right to refuse doing business with anyone. Should our gallery, patrons, or artists not be respected by anyone, we reserve the right to refuse accepting artwork and / or to reject artwork from any exhibition, effective immediately.
Artists are responsible for insuring, transporting and delivering all artwork to the gallery. We recommend that you do not ship any work that is very fragile or at risk of being damaged by extreme temperatures or third party shipping and handling.

Overall Presentation and Installation Criteria

All work must be the original work of the artist who enters the work. No third party entries or any types of replicas will be accepted.
art, designs, logos or stock images in photoshop is not considered original art).
We cannot generally accept artwork that requires electricity, water, chemicals, mechanics or any alternative method of installation or presentation we mention in this entry form. If your work requires special installation of any kind or involve any type of access to water or electricity, contact us before entering.
No work can weigh more than 40 lbs / 20 kg (including shipping / packaging weight) and cannot contain any sharp edges, overly fragile elements, dangerous chemicals, unsafe protrusions or unsafe free moving parts.

2D Work or 3D Wall Mountable Work

All 2D or 3D wall mountable work must not exceed 36 in / 91 cm in any direction.
Work on stretched canvas or board must be finished off professionally on gallery wrapped canvas or block mounted board with neatly painted and tacked edges.
Gallery wrapped canvas edges must be finished off - paint the sides a flat color or allow the painting to wrap around the sides.
Unframed work must be sealed to avoid unforeseen damage.
Work may be framed professionally (no amateur framing, no glass if shipped). Frames must appropriately suit the art work - a general rule is to keep frames simple - we recommend natural, stained or black wood frames.
Drawings, watercolors, photography and other fragile 2D artwork must be framed and matted appropriately and professionally.
Please do not submit badly framed or matted work or canvas wrapped art that is not properly finished off or sealed - if it looks flimsy, cheap, unprofessional, chipped, dirty, smudged, scratched, messy etc. we cannot represent it.
Frames must be sturdy, straight and properly attached to the art work. The back need not be closed, but must be presented in a way that makes the art hangable.
Work must be wired with D-hooks and wired in the back - no sawtooth hangers or other methods - we cannot physically hang work without it being properly wired and will reject work from the exhibition if not wired correctly with correct hooks.

Pricing of work must not include framing, hanging or display options - buyers will be given this option if a sale occurs. Buyers will be informed that the price may increase if "hang-ready" or "framed" or "installation" of any kind is required.
All accepted artwork must remain online for the duration of the event.
All images of any artwork may be used for promotional purposes.

General Online Exhibition, Image and Sales Logistics

Artists can enter any 2D or 3D art - all entries must be family-friendly (no nudity, propaganda content or inappropriate themes or language) and must be in a format that could be shipped to a buyer with relative ease.
Artists are responsible for all costs and logistics, insurance of art work, shipping and fulfillment from their location. If you have questions about this, please reach out to Avianne. A check-list will be sent to the artist should a sale occur.
Artists must respond promptly and be able to communicate via e-mail regarding sales and logistics - if not, the artist will not be allowed to participate in future events or exhibitions at IGFA - we cannot conduct business without prompt communication.
Up to 3 images per artist will be posted in our virtual art store for sale (artists is responsible for fulfillment in case an original artwork sells and will sign a separate contract with Avianne for this). Images will not be posted in our online store unless the juried artist signs this contract.
Deadline to enter, event dates, acceptance, etc. - see the “Call for Entry” information posted with each exhibition on the website.
All entry is online, regardless of type of exhibition or event. Entries are not accepted without online form and correct payment, with clear images received.
Images of work must be provided in JPG or PNG format. Files may not exceed 1MB in size, but must show work accurately - images must be in focus, no filters, no glare, no reflections, not obscured or at strange angles. Do not send images that include the environment for 2D artwork - only the actual artwork without any background. 3D examples of sculpture must be photographed against a neutral background.
Unusable images may result in rejection from the exhibition.
Proof of initial acceptance will be given once an entry is received, processed and approved.
Items must be dropped off / picked up / or delivered / removed / picked-up by seller or designated third party as appropriate before and after event is over.

Specific Sales Procedures and Logistics

Avianne will provide clear instructions for shipping and packing logistics if a sale occurs - please follow all instructions promptly and exactly. Avianne is not responsible for an artist bothing this process and a buyer withdrawing from a sale as a result.

PLEASE DO NOT send any artwork for online exhibitions to the physical location unless specifically instructed to do so for pick-up or redistribution to a buyer - all sales must be conducted as per Aviannes checklist instructions, sent to the artist, once a sale occurs - at that time Avianne will instruct the artist where and how to ship the work directly to the client.
PLEASE DO NOT deviate from instructions provided by Avianne regarding sales - there are sales taxes, gallery commissions and specific, legal (sometimes international and customs) considerations that must be followed for the protection of the artist, the buyer and IGFA
Unclaimed items will be stored at a fee / recycled / sold and / or given back to the artist, depending on the specific context.
Unsolicited work sent to us will be stored at a fee / sold to another collector and / or shipped back to the artist at the artist’s cost.
We will donate work to charity or sell it and retain the full sales amount to recover logistical cost if work is abandoned at our location.

Sellers Requirements, Event Specifics and Allocations

Sellers must have access to infrastructure (wherever they are located) to enable and facilitate the shipping of artwork from the artist to the buyer directly. PLEASE DO NOT enter this exhibition if you are not physically or logistically capable of facilitating sales.
Seller must have a sales permit if required by law in their region and must comply with International, country-specific, USA and Idaho tax laws however applicable.
Seller must be self-insured and must directly represent themselves during a transaction of any kind.

Acceptance and Content Criteria

All events, exhibitions and opportunities IGFA offers are juried. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
All work entered must be for sale in USA Dollar amounts. If you are accepted into the exhibition but are unsure about pricing, we can help you determine an appropriate price for your work.
The gallery owner, judges and / or curator involved reserve the right to deny any items entry into an exhibition for any practical or contextual reason.
Exhibition themes are open for interpretation. We encourage intelligent, conceptual, visual, thematic, subjective and art historical interpretations.
The space or format utilized by IGFA for this event is family friendly - items that contain vulgarity, explicit nudity, physically dangerous or toxic parts or any extreme content deemed inappropriate by judges will not be accepted.
Avianne International LLC reserves the right to refuse doing business with anyone. Should our gallery, patrons, or artists not be respected by anyone, we reserve the right to refuse accepting artwork and / or to reject artwork from any exhibition, effective immediately.

Overall Presentation and Installation Criteria

Work need not be framed or hang-ready when displayed online. However: Avianne may require that you ship the artwork hang-ready upon request from a buyer. At that time, you will be provided with clear instructions regarding how to prepare the artwork.
PLEASE DO NOT prepare work for being hang-ready (orin the case of sculpture, display-ready) without receiving specific instructions for it from Avianne - work will be rejected from the sale if it is not prepared professionally.
We cannot generally accept any items that require electricity, water, chemicals, mechanics or any alternative method of installation or presentation we mention in this entry form. If your work requires special installation of any kind or involve any type of access to water or electricity, contact us before entering.
No work can weigh more than 40 lbs / 20 kg (including shipping / packaging weight) and cannot contain any sharp edges, overly fragile elements, dangerous chemicals, unsafe protrusions or unsafe free moving parts.

Juried Exhibition Criteria

IGFA conducts a jury process to select quality and high caliber fine art and any other items.
Typically art work / any item is screened / juried according to the following criteria:
Meeting the content, presentation and installation criteria mentioned in this application form and required for each individual exhibition or event (No art will be accepted without first meeting this criteria, however brilliant it may be).
Conceptual and creative interpretation of subject matter and exhibition or event theme (the name of the exhibition carries the essence of the exhibition theme - see our exhibition description on the website for more details).
Excellence in stylistic execution using the media (artistic skill or crafting level and individual, visual form language being displayed).
Aesthetic criteria are considered: use of color, line, perspective, composition, chiaroscuro, volume, space etc.
Originality of artwork or item also plays a role.

Wild things are all around us. Some of them surround us. Some fly over us, run past us or hide below us. Wild things also live inside each of us, they are our thoughts and feelings, our desire to express ourselves, to belong somewhere, encoding our ability to see the world through a unique perspective.

Do you love wild things? The smell of rain on a stormy day, the imagined world or the real one? Do you run with horses or hide with fairies? Maybe you wish you could fly or have an African painted wolf for a pet. "Wild Things" is a provocative exhibition that asks the viewer to "rest here for a while with some creative friends" and think about what wild things mean to you. Be it in the realm of make belief, emotions or the beauty of the natural world, we couldn't think of a better way to show you our love for making art but to show you the way we envision "wild things" through our own, distinctly unique and varied artistic perspectives.

David, R. Day brings to life extraordinary landscapes, structures and animals in environments so rich and captivating that we have to wonder if they are real or not.

Avianne releases the animals and impressions from her love for all things wild and wonderful, dazzling you with bright colors, realistic birds and abstract arrangements that make you stare with wonder.

Gary Peer takes you on an adventure through a mysterious land of wooden totems and beacons that will make you remember where we come from.

Gina Brostmeyer embraces the world the way she loves it and shares her vision with you in an earthy, relatable way that will make you connect with the child you never knew you still were.

Mary Gardiner evokes a playful and inspired love and passion for the natural world, which she transforms into stylistic approaches that will make you want to go hike with her through Australia and Idaho to discover your own wild things.

Michael Norsk opens your mind to the possibility that wild things can become your best friends in how you meditate and learn to dance the dance of life with everything inside of you.

Beth Trott unleashes the imagination of a million fireflies through incredible adventures, captivating creatures and mind boggling critters that will make you wish you could travel to Neverland and never grow up at all.

Mark McGinnis colors your world with the magnificence of Sacred Geometry and tells you a story of a world where everything is made up of colors and shapes that live inside the circles of your existence.

We are super stoked to announce our first group exhibition available for online entry, to coincide with the launch of our brand new Boise art gallery location in Idaho. This exhibition is open for entry to all Idaho based artists as we are seeking to provide local and regional artists with an excellent, yet accessible way to showcase and sell their art in a brick and mortar, professionally run and operated, boutique style fine art gallery, focused on reaching serious and distinguished collectors and buyers.

“Fearless” is open for a variety of interpretations by the artist: contemporary, traditional, out of the box, we love it all and we want to show Boise what you are capable of. To be an artist is in itself fearless, don't you think? You can absolutely feel free to submit any art you love to create. As long as the art is family friendly, there are no limits, because being limitless is also fearless! How do you find hope in our current world? How do you keep your artistic heart alive and what inspires you? Do you love to walk down by the river or listen to live music downtown? Show us how you feel and what you love the most to create, We are looking for work that is uplifting, inspiring, vibrant (traditional or contemporary), family friendly, out-of-the-box and easy on the eyes.

Complete the entry form and upload JPG images of up to 5 artworks relevant to the theme of the exhibition to apply for participation in The IGFA Juried Exhibition - “Fearless”. All shows are juried and acceptance is not guaranteed - see the section below on “Acceptance Criteria”.

Please adhere to all deadlines and logistics:

All work must be original: Artists must be 18 or older to participate and the work must be the original work of the artist.
All work must be available for sale. All accepted work must remain in the exhibition for the duration of the exhibition even when sold.
Sold work will be released to its rightful owner at the time of pick-up specified below. Payments to artists will be made within 3 business days once payments from a buyer are processed and verified. IGFA will verify payment methods and amounts with the artist if a sale occurs and can only pay the artist once this is verified.
Deadline to enter online: May 25, 2021 (midnight)
Judging of entered art: May 26-29, 2021 (notification of acceptance status by May 30)
Accepted work drop off / delivery: Friday, June 11, 2021 between 12 pm and 6 pm (work must be dropped off by artist or delivered by designated third party - a receipt for work received will be emailed to the artist. Receipt must be shown to pick up work after the exhibition in case the work is not sold. If sold - buyer must provide proof of purchase to pick up work directly once the exhibition is over. Unclaimed work will be stored at a fee / sold to another collector and / or given back to the artist.

Drop off logistics: Park in front of the building - follow temporary signs up to the gallery where Avianne’s crew will receive your work. Make sure you sign for and get a receipt issued via email before leaving. Once your work is received, please exit the building. Other businesses use the building too, please be respectful of their space and keep noise levels down. No animals allowed per landlord’s strict policy. No unaccompanied / unsupervised minors, please.
Pick up of sold and unsold work: Pick up work at 1883 N Wildwood Street, Suite # M, Boise, ID 83713 between 3pm and 6pm on Saturday, August 21. Only the artist or an authorized third party can pick up the work. Please show the receipt of acceptance from the drop-off day or a proof of purchase to be able to pick up the work. Work WILL NOT be given to anyone unless ownership can be verified.

Fees:

Entry fees are utilized to cover the costs incurred by an art exhibition: administrative, hosting, judging, curating and marketing and are non-refundable.

Fees and sales commission pertaining to this juried exhibition:

All entries: $25 - for entering up to 5 art works
In case of sales: the gallery will charge and process sales tax to the buyer and retain a 20% commissioned fee.

Acceptance Criteria:

This exhibition is open to all Idaho based artists.
All exhibitions are juried. Acceptance is not guaranteed.
All work entered must be for sale. If you are accepted into the exhibition but are unsure about pricing, we can help you determine an appropriate price for your work.
You can enter up to 5 artworks into each separate exhibition. Please take care not to have work overlap with other shows to guarantee your placement once you are accepted. Work that does not appear to be the same at time of receiving it as work in the digital submission images may be cut from the show.
All work must meet the standards of media, size, installation, exhibition and content as it pertains to the specific exhibition at hand. See section “Presentation and Installation Criteria” and “Content Criteria” for more information of this.
The gallery owner, judges and curator involved reserve the right to deny an art work entry into an exhibition for any practical or contextual reason.
Artists are responsible for insuring, transporting and delivering all artwork to the gallery. We recommend that you do not ship any work that is very fragile or at risk of being damaged by extreme temperatures or third party shipping and handling.
In cases where shipping costs and customs requirements apply, artists are responsible for all logistics and costs incurred - if your work is selected for the exhibition and this pertains to you, we will contact you via your email address included in this entry form. We want your work to get to us as affordably and safely as possible and safely return it to you as securely and affordably as possible in case of no sale.

Presentation and Installation Criteria:

All work must be the original work of the artist who enters the work. No third-party entries will be accepted.
We only accept original art for our award exhibitions, no replicas or gicleés, no photography that is used commercially, and no photography or digital art that is not entirely composed of the artists’ own original work (example: merely altering existing art, designs, logos or stock images in photoshop is not considered original art).

2D Work or 3D Wall Mountable Work:

All 2D or 3D wall-mountable work must not exceed 36 in / 91 cm in any direction.
Work on stretched canvas or board must be finished off professionally on gallery wrapped canvas or block mounted board with neatly painted and tacked edges.
Gallery wrapped canvas edges must be finished off - paint the sides a flat color or allow the painting to wrap around the sides.
Unframed work must be sealed to avoid unforeseen damage.
Work may be framed professionally (no amateur framing, no glass if shipped). Frames must appropriately suit the artwork - a general rule is to keep frames simple - we recommend natural, stained, or black wood frames.
Drawings, watercolors, photography, and other fragile 2D artwork must be framed and matted appropriately and professionally.
Please do not submit badly framed or matted work or canvas wrapped art that is not properly finished off or sealed - if it looks flimsy, cheap, unprofessional, chipped, dirty, smudged, scratched, messy, etc. we cannot represent it.
Frames must be sturdy, straight, and properly attached to the artwork. The back need not be closed, but must be presented in a way that makes the art hangable.
Work must be wired with D-hooks in the back - no sawtooth hangers or other methods - we cannot physically hang work without it being properly wired.

3D Freestanding Sculptures:

All freestanding sculptural work must not exceed 48 in / 122 cm in any direction.
Work must be able to be carried through standard doors and up a single staircase.
Work must be movable without easily falling apart, presenting a danger to the person moving it or getting damaged or it damaging the display space.
Please do not include stands unless we request it or they are an integral part of the artwork or fundamentally assist the work in its stability. Stands cannot be too cumbersome to deal with.
We cannot optimally secure work to the ceiling, wall, or floor - the work must be able to be stable without requiring extra forms of propping it up.

Content Criteria:

Exhibition themes are open for interpretation. We encourage intelligent, conceptual, visual, thematic, subjective, and art historical interpretations.
The art gallery utilized by IGFA for this exhibition is family-friendly - work that contains vulgarity, explicit nudity, physically dangerous or toxic parts, or any extreme content deemed inappropriate by judges will not be accepted.

Jury / Judging Criteria:

Juried art exhibitions are important in the development of any artistic career since not all work is accepted into juried exhibitions.
IGFA aims to pick judges who are visually literate, experienced, educated and familiar with the judging criteria and processes used to professionally and objectively judge art exhibitions and utilized in creating meaningful, sophisticated art.
The IGFA judging process may involve an individual judge or a panel comprised of patrons, art collectors, seasoned artists, academic art instructors, professional artists, curators, gallery owners, or any such individual judges who decide which works are accepted into an exhibition and, in case of an award exhibition which works will receive which awards.

Typically artwork is screened / judged according to the following criteria:

The specific interpretations and expertise of each judge for each exhibition and award offered. Each judge has a unique perspective and IGFA respects that.

Awards Offered*:

Awards are presented as fairly as possible. Awards are sponsored by IGFA and / or our collectors, patrons, affiliates, and business associates.
Awards depend on the size and scope of the exhibition. Smaller exhibitions or exhibitions with less variety in media may offer fewer awards, may group categories together, and may not include any merit or honorable mention awards. Large exhibitions may offer more variety in categories and corresponding awards.
Awards comprise certificates, ribbons and may include monetary awards. Monetary amounts depend on the size and prominence of each individual exhibition as well as the IGFA award budget and sponsors involved.
Monetary awards will always be offered for Best of Show, no matter the size or scope of the exhibition. Monetary awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place are offered if the budget allows for it. Merit and honorable mention awards do not generally include monetary awards.

Awards can vary, depending on the specific exhibition, work we recieve and the juried process, judge or judges involved. Some exhibitions may be judged by grouping different styles, genrès, subjects, themes or proficiency levels together. Usually, these awards are offered per major group exhibition:

Best of Show - any media and any artwork
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in a specific medium, usually divided into categories:
painting - acrylic, watercolor, oils, mixed media
drawing - graphite, color pencil, charcoal, mixed media
printmaking / alternative media - etching, silkscreen, other
digital media / photography - any printed format
sculpture - any medium
Merit awards - judge’s discretion (award for excellence)
Honorable mentions - judge’s discretion (award for promising work)
If work is judged according to any other criteria besides grouping the above mentioned media together, the awards may vary. We always have work judged in the most beneficial and fair way for the sake of our artists.

*IGFA keeps a close eye on all entries we receive, even if the entries do not make it into a juried award show. IGFA aims to offer more representation opportunities to artists that we feel should be represented locally and internationally in a more ongoing and meaningful way. If you are selected to be awarded more representation opportunities by IGFA, we will contact you separately from this exhibition, regardless of juried results.

Excellence in Fine Art Making: a journey of deeper significance

There is a deeper, wonderful, far more enriching, inspiring and fulfilling world of joy, accomplishment, creative satisfaction, visual sophistication and beauty to unpack for the artist or art student who decides that doing what comes easy and feels natural is not the ultimate pursuit that we may engage in.

The more we learn about making art and being creative, if we truly embrace a creative path, the more we realize that there is no end to the depths of that which art makes possible for us to explore, not only as artists or creative people, but also as human beings who instinctively desire meaning, learning and enrichment as part of our lives.

The greater the student, the greater the artist the student will become, not to impress others, not to become financially successful (though one certainly can) but to know within oneself that one’s journey is meaningful and authentic, substantive and one of true greatness.

I have been in pursuit of excellence for many years as an artist in my own capacity. It was (and still is) anything but easy, especially in the beginning, because I had to (and still must) work hard for improving my skills. As an art student I was surrounded by others who were far superior to me in terms of natural ability and practiced skill sets. Through some great mentors and taking classes from other artists, over the years, I managed to grow and learn and improve. My fear was not that I would be a bad artist, because i know that in time and with practice, I would succeed in ever greater measures. My fear was that I would stagnate and settle for so much less than what I am truly capable of: a pitfall for even the most prodigious of artists: to settle for less because it becomes comfortable.

It was always my thought that if I am serious about pursuing my profession and industry, I should always strive to develop my knowledge and skills with regard to it. As I embarked on and evermore embraced a greater capacity for the pursuit of excellence, I soon discovered that I am merely scratching the surface. A lifetime could be spent on delving into my artistic potential, learning skills, becoming more visually literate and I would still, simply be chipping away with a toothpick at a mountain of what is available to me as an artist.

One thing I have always known is that I would not settle for mediocrity. It is hard for me to imagine that I can learn only a small part of art making and for the rest of my human life only practice that small part. To me this would be boring and limiting.

Let me be clear: we should always realize that pursuing excellence is not about becoming a perfectly skilled or famous artist. We cannot be perfect – it is part of our humanity. Few become famous, and dare I say, often not really because they are that great at art making. Sometimes more because they have been at the right place at the right time or their potential was recognized by an educated critic or gallery owner.

There will always be artists who are better and artists who are lesser than us in terms of specific skills, successes or approaches to art making. There really is no point in spending all our energy on trying to outdo someone else: this can be disheartening and cause us to actually lose our own unique voice as an artist, by trying too hard to walk in the path meant for another. Each journey is unique and that uniqueness is critical for an artist or creative person to become the best version of themselves in terms of creative success. The point is not to compare ourselves and to be in constant competition with others. The point is to consistently unpack our own journey with great sincerity and to allow ourselves to always be challenged to go further and see more.

The question we need to ask ourselves as creative people, students and artists comes down to this: Who am I as an artist and how can I learn to reach as much of my potential as possible by walking my own path, embracing my own desire for learning and developing my skills and visual sophistication in increasing measure?

Art is a holistic engagement with self. The artist cannot separate self from the creative process. My hope for all artists is that we will always consciously pursue excellence and never settle for a mediocre journey, simply because it is easier (or maybe even more profitable) to do so.

There is no point of arrival. There is only the fervent satisfaction and solving the problems, the overcoming of self within the journey to excellence. Happy art making!
