“Christmas in Idaho 2022” - Christmas Makers Market

- December 2 - December 4, 2022 -

 - This event coincides with our “Winter Wonderland” Juried Group Exhibition -

This Christmas market opportunity for local Treasure Valley artists and makers is open for entry to all locally based artists and crafters as we are seeking to showcase local makers and sell their Christmas and Holiday arts and crafts in a brick and mortar, fun setting, focused on bringing the community together for the holidays.


“Christmas in Idaho” is open to all local artists and crafters who want to display and sell their Holiday creations to the public. What we are looking for includes, but is not limited to:


  • Jewelry
  • Wreaths
  • Pottery
  • Holiday cards
  • Scarfs and hats
  • Quilts
  • Mugs
  • Cookies
  • Tree decorations
  • Small paintings


Open to all media that we are able to physically accommodate - must be family-friendly and practical (see submission criteria).


  • Avianne will be serving her delicious homemade hot chocolate
  • There will be a raffle for arts and crafts prizes to be won
  • Tables will be set-up in the gallery and overflow areas if needed

Event weekend (Friday, December 2, to Sunday, December 4, 2022):


  • Opening on Friday, December 2, 2022: 10 am to 6 pm
  • Second event day: Saturday, December 3, 2022: 10 am to 6 pm
  • Third event day: Sunday, December 4, 2022: 10 am - 6 pm


Concurrent exhibition duration: A selection of items from the weekend event will be available for sale in the gallery from Monday, November 14 through Friday, December 31, 2021

Scope: Treasure Valley (local to the Boise area, Idaho) based fine artists, crafters and fine art photographers

Submission Criteria For This Event:


PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE FILLING OUT THE ENTRY FORM


Complete the entry form and upload JPG images of up to 5 items you will have available for sale at this event, relevant to the theme of the event, to apply for participation in this event. All events are juried and acceptance is not guaranteed - see the section below on “Acceptance and Content Criteria” as well as “Overall Presentation and Installation Criteria”.


Please adhere to all deadlines and logistics as set forth by Avianne International, LLC.


Copyright and Promotional Release


  • Participants must be 18 or older to participate.
  • All items must be available for sale in USA Dollar amounts. 
  • All accepted types of work must remain at the event for the duration of the event. 
  • All images of any items may be used for promotional purposes.
  • Please see the sections “Acceptance and Content Criteria”, “Important Dates and General Logistics” and “Shipping, Customs, Sales and Payment Logistics” for more information about acceptance, receiving and sales of artwork.


General Logistics


  • Deadline to enter, event dates, acceptance, etc. - see the “Call for Entry” information posted with each exhibition on the website.
  • All entry is online. Entries are not accepted without online form and correct payment, with clear images received.
  • Images of work must be provided in JPG or PNG format. Files may not exceed 1MB in size, but must show work accurately - images must be in focus, no filters, no glare, no reflections, not obscured or at strange angles. Do not send images that include the environment - only the actual items on a neutral background. 3D examples must be photographed against a neutral background. 
  • Unusable images may result in rejection from the exhibition.
  • Proof of initial acceptance will be given once an entry is received, processed and approved.
  • Items must be dropped off / picked up / or delivered / removed / picked-up by seller or designated third party as appropriate before and after event is over.
  • Location for event and selling items: 1883 N Wildwood Street, Suite # M, Boise, ID 83713, USA.
  • Unclaimed items will be stored at a fee / sold and / or given back to the artist.
  • Unsolicited work sent to us will be stored at a fee / sold to another collector and / or shipped back to the artist at the artist’s cost. 
  • We will donate work to charity or sell it and retain the full sales amount to recover logistical cost if work is abandoned at our location.
  • Drop off / Pick-up / Delivery logistics: Park in front of the building - follow instructions that Avianne will send you in email form as to how / when / where exactly to set-up your items.
  • Other businesses use the building too, please be respectful of their space and keep noise levels down. 
  • No animals allowed per landlord’s strict policy. 
  • No unaccompanied / unsupervised minors, please.



Sellers Requirements, Event Specifics and Allocations


  • Seller receives table space for displaying items. Table space may vary - it depends on the amount of sellers, the size of items that are for sale, etc. Avianne will work with each seller to optimize their sales space. Sales spaces will be allocated in the gallery and in the conference room of the building. 
  • Seller must have a sales permit and must comply with USA and Idaho tax laws.
  • Seller must be self-insured.
  • Seller must be present at the event or have a designated third party present at event at all times.
  • Seller is responsible for safety and liability of their own items and sales space.
  • Seller is responsible for all their own sales.
  • IGFA (Avianne) is responsible for selling all fine art displayed in gallery (separate from the event).
  • IGFA (Avianne) is not responsible for selling items, packing or shipping items, receiving shipped items or dealing with any logistics that pertain to sales, logistics or customs with regards to any items or sales.

Fees and Commission


Entry fees are utilized to cover the costs incurred by an event: administrative, hosting, judging, curating and marketing and are non-refundable.


  • Entry fee for this event: $35 - for entering any reasonably displayable amount of items.
  • In case of sales: seller is responsible for all sales tax and all sales logistics.
  • No commission is claimed by the gallery as we are not directly involved in these specific sales.
  • IGFA donates 10 percent of all gallery profits to non-profit wildlife conservation and humanitarian aid organizations in the USA and South Africa. See our website(s) for more details.



Acceptance and Content Criteria


  • Event may be limited in scope - see “Event Listing” on website to know if the exhibit is international / national / online / Idaho-based or such.
  • All events are juried. Acceptance is not guaranteed. 
  • All work entered must be for sale in USA Dollar amounts. If you are accepted into the event but are unsure about pricing, we can help you determine an appropriate price for your work.
  • The gallery owner, judges and / or curator involved reserve the right to deny any items entry into an exhibition for any practical or contextual reason.
  • Event themes are open for interpretation. We encourage intelligent, conceptual, visual, thematic, subjective and art historical interpretations.
  • The space utilized by IGFA for this event is family friendly - items that contain vulgarity, explicit nudity, physically dangerous or toxic parts or any extreme content deemed inappropriate by judges will not be accepted.
  • Avianne International LLC reserves the right to refuse doing business with anyone. Should our gallery, patrons or artists not be respected by anyone, we reserve the right to refuse accepting art work and / or to reject art work from any exhibition, effective immediately.

Overall Presentation and Installation Criteria


  • We cannot generally accept any items that require electricity, water, chemicals, mechanics or any alternative method of installation or presentation we mention in this entry form. If your work requires special installation of any kind or involve any type of access to water or electricity, contact us before entering.
  • No work can weigh more than 40 lbs / 20 kg (including shipping / packaging weight) and cannot contain any sharp edges, overly fragile elements, dangerous chemicals, unsafe protrusions or unsafe free moving parts.
  • We cannot accept wall mountable art work that compete with what we are already selling in the gallery or that is contextually not up to par with our standards or selection criteria - contact us if you are not sure before entering the event.



Shipping, Customs, Sales, Commission and Payment Logistics 


  • IGFA does not act as a broker or dealer for this event. 
  • All logistics involving sales, customs, shipping and payments are solely the responsibility of the seller and the buyer as per whatever they agree upon.
  • IGFA is not responsible for taxes, sales taxes, or any other costs or logistics beyond hosting and promoting the event.
  • Avianne International is not legally liable for any costs or logistics incurred by any of the above.
  • Location for shipping and event: 1883 N Wildwood Street, Suite # M, Boise, ID 83713, USA - DO NOT ship to or from this address without prior arrangements being made directly with Avianne. Work must have tracking and Avianne must sign for it to receive it safely. Avianne must approve work being shipped from this address if it applies. Juried Event Criteria


  • IGFA conducts a jury process to select quality and high caliber art and other items.
  • Typically art work / any item is screened / juried according to the following criteria:
  • Meeting the content, presentation and installation criteria mentioned in this application form and required for each individual exhibition or event (No art will be accepted without first meeting this criteria, however brilliant it may be).
  • Conceptual and creative interpretation of subject matter and exhibition or event theme (the name of the exhibition carries the essence of the exhibition theme - see our exhibition description on the website for more details).
  • Excellence in stylistic execution using the media (artistic skill or crafting level and individual, visual form language being displayed).
  • Aesthetic criteria are considered: use of color, line, perspective, composition, chiaroscuro, volume, space etc.
  • Originality of items also plays a role.
